Fund Run Details
Join JWA as we host an inaugural virtual 5K that you can complete at your own pace and at your favorite location! Run your 5K anytime during the week of June 6-12 and enter your run time in the provided form by clicking the button to the left. Race rankings will be announced at the conclusion of race week. The top three runners will receive a social media shoutout.
Registration is $35 and includes a t-shirt and medal. To guarantee a t-shirt, please register by May 21, 2021.
Packet pickup will be held at Hudson Orthodontics on June 4 from 5-7 PM & June 5 from 9-11 AM.
Proceeds from the Fund Run will benefit Junior Welfare Association's scholarships, grants, and signature program, the Deborah Collier Memorial Fund, which provides shoes, socks, and undergarments to Macon County youth.
WHAT IS A VIRTUAL RACE?
A virtual race is a race that can be ran (or walked) from any location you choose. You get to run your own race, at your own pace, and time it yourself. Choose your preferred route and start moving! It is a great way to be competitive with your family, friends, or co-workers while not traveling to a race. Run on your own or run with a group. Each person signs up, picks a time to run between June 6-12, 2021, and posts their time online. This is a great way to motivate each other and hold each other accountable.
Walk, run, jog, indoors on a track or treadmill or outside in the neighborhood or a park, a virtual race is the best way to get comfortable moving to your own beat and gaining confidence in your strength and endurance! Let's get moving and support Macon County youth in the process!
